Mini Napoleonic Army

This is a collection of photos from my 6mm Baccus Napoleonic collection. There is an Austrian, French, and Italian army from the year 1809. Enjoy!

The Archduke leads his Austrians to glory.

Austrian cavalry of the line follows behind, ready for battle.

The Viceroy watches his enemy carefully. His army waits patiently behind.

Wow! The entire might of the Austrian army!

The Franco-Italian Army prepares for the onslaught. This town might make a good defense.

Austrian dragoons approach. Hopefully the French battery can keep them back!

The French line stays put in a town. They are surrounded by the blinding fumes of cannon fire.

On the other flank, French cavalry rally together. They are ready for the big push.

French light cavalry charge the Austrian Grand Battery! This is going to be a costly one. Fate looks grim for the horsemen.

The French heavy horse choose to charge the enemy infantry. They were not quick enough, though. The Austrians have already formed the famous square formation!

An Austrian battalion waits in a quiet town. They are surprised by the French aggression, but decide to stay put.

French infantry engulfed in the smoke of their own muskets. They have reinforcements in the rear, but this hardy unit won’t need ‘em!

For the knock-out blow, the Viceroy decides to commit the Italian Guard. This elite unit is unfazed by cannon.

In an attempt to turn the tide, a Hungarian commander leads the cavalry reserve. His enthusiasm is felt by all the Austrians, but will it be enough?

The Austrian cavalry encounter a French square. They scramble to break it, knowing this is the battle’s climax...

No! The Austrians are not quite able to do it. The veteran French and Italian defenders successfully hold them off with an unexpected counter-attack.

The Austrians retreat in good order as the sun goes down. Maybe they will be more successful another day.
