Battle of Bagradas

On Saturday, February 7, 2026, Alastair hosted a beautiful game at the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society conference in Lancaster, PA. This was Alastair's big debut with his handmade paper miniatures, hot off the press. Not only were these figures stunning little soldiers on the table, they also attracted a lot of attention from folks passing by. We met some very interesting people and had a great time with the four players who joined the Battle of Bagradas on Saturday morning.

Battle of Aspern-Essling

February 6, 2026

Last Friday, February 6, 2026, Owen Schnepf hosted a game at the HMGS convention. Along with playing many fun games and meeting interesting people, Owen got to break out his growing miniatures collection again. This scenario features the Battle of Aspern-Essling in 1809. Historically, Napoleon rushed across the Danube in an attempt to catch the Austrians, but he underestimated them considerably. Archduke Charles attacked with full force and dealt Napoleon his first defeat as Emperor. This momentous battle goes down in history as one of Napoleon’s greatest battlefield gambles — and this time, it didn't pay off.

In the Heart of Bavaria

The Schnepf Bros host their first convention game at the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society in Lancaster, PA. The Austrians are pitched against the French in a fast-paced battle fought in the heart of Bavaria. Both sides maneuver aggressively to secure defensive positions for the major engagement. The Austrians attempt to destroy Napoleon’s empire, while he moves to defeat his most steadfast enemy.

Battle for Lossnig and Dolitz

The Schnepf Bros attended a stunning table at the HMGS convention. Tony Busofsky hosted an excellent game of Carnage and Glory set in 1813, during the battle of Leipzig. The French and their Polish allies attempt to hold off an aggressive Austrian flanking maneuver. Both sides lock horns for a significant engagement over a fast-flowing stream and dense forest. Will the French keep the Austrians out of the towns of Lossnig and Dolitz, critical to holding Napoleon’s flank?
